include amended state with amended fed

Hello.

 

I am filing amended returns for 2022 and 2023.  

 

By amending 1040X my state return was also changed.  Do I need to include a copy of the amended state return with my 1040-X?  Do I need to include a copy of my amended 1040-X with the amended state return?

 

I live in Missouri.  

 

Also, according to IRS.gov I should be able to efile the amended 2023 return.  How do I accomplish this using desktop version of TT.

    You don't need to include the state amended return with your federal amended return.  You might need to attach a copy of your federal return with your state return.  The instructions that print with the return will let you know if you do.  

     

    With TurboTax you are only able to e-file ‌returns for the current year. Prior-year returns will need to be mailed in.
