Incorrect account number

So I put an incorrect account number on my direct deposit. I know I couldn’t change it and that my bank would most likely decline it and I’d get a check from the IRS. Does the IRS track my refund page track my paper check? Do I just wait? Do I call my bank?

You will need to contact the IRS directly to find out when the check will be mailed. Once the financial institution rejects the deposit and the IRS receives the funds, the IRS will mail your refund check to the address on your tax return.
