When I check my IRS refund status I get the same information which is NO INFORMATION available. Has my return been lost in the US Mail? How should I proceed. It is more than 8 weeks since I sent my paper return by First Class mail.

See this IRS website - https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-operations-during-covid-19-mission-critical-functions-continue

IRS operational status and alternatives

Paper Tax Returns:

The IRS is not currently able to process individual paper tax returns. If you already have filed via paper but it has not yet been processed, do not file a second tax return or write to the IRS to inquire about the status of your return or your economic impact payment. Paper returns will be processed   once processing centers are able to reopen.

We mailed our returns on 2/14/22. We received the mailing envelope back yesterday with a message on it that said the envelope was found at the post office without the contents. The IRS has no record of our filing. Should we resubmit the returns?

Yes, you may want to print and mail them in again.
