I have been trying to find my refund since March 3, along with my stimulus money ànd my child tax credit. I think this is ridiculous. The irs already did the 90 investigation. They couldn't see nothing as what they told me. Ive done so much research an each and Everytime I call a business that I used, turbo tax, Santa Barbara tax group, credit karma spending account, Mvb bank, greendot bank as well as the irs. Each an everyone tells me a different answer. I have asked to speak with several manager and supervisor. They just can't give me a answer, they don't know anything or they don't have the tools to look the transactions up. Which I know for a fact due to all the research I've done, if the bank rejects the transactions it will go back to Santa Barbara, then they will attempt once more. If the transaction was not accepted the tax group will out the refund on hold till further notice.

I double check everything and two different area my direct deposit account number is missing a number. But in another area the account number is correct.

I will like to know what happened, àn when will I receive my money.

I need this money asap. I've been homeless since October and just got out of a abusive controlling relationship.

I'm now ready to get back on my feet. Please help I need my money. I mean come on it's been 6 months that's I82 days and a 132 business days

There is nothing anyone can do on this public internet forum that you have not yet done for yourself.

If the direct deposit could not be made by the processing bank then they should mail you a check to the address on your return. Did you move since filing ? If so check with the processing bank to update your address if you can. If not then the processing bank probably sent the money back to the IRS which is where the third stimulus payments are sent from as well as any advance payments of the CTC.

Mail in a form 8822 ASAP to the IRS if the address on your return is no longer good : https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-8822

It can take up to 5 business days for your bank to deposit your tax return refund in to your account. If the status in Where’s My Refund? shows “Refund Sent”, the IRS has sent your tax refund to your bank for direct deposit. If you do not receive it after 5 business days, you will need to contact your bank.

Did you have any TurboTax fees that you chose to pay out of the Federal refund? If so, the funds go first from the IRS to a temporary account at an intermediary bank where the fees are subtracted. Then that intermediary bank sends the rest of the funds on to your bank (or card.) If you used that method to pay fees, and if the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool shows that the IRS has actually released the funds, you can check on the funds at the level of the intermediary company (SBTPG).

If that's your situation, you can go to the SBTPG website and choose the "For taxpayers" portal at:

If you did use that feature to pay your TurboTax fees, the funds go first from the IRS to a temporary account at an intermediary bank where the fees are subtracted. Okay so it says my refund was deposited into my bank the 24th of February and I still have not received my money and it is now march 9th any idea why this is happening ?

You need to call TPG [phone number removed] do the steps and listen to the computer voice. Most likely you account has been put on hold due unidentified activity. Which is a BS response to your refund. So then you will have to send them a email of your drivers license front and back to verify who you are. No idea how long it will take because they do not respond quickly. I’m still waiting and it’s been several days.

The irs says they deposited my refund on march 17th but it never got there i checked and bank said it was not done ever what is next step for me?

See xmasbaby0's comment above for one of the most common situations, if you chose to pay any TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, and if so, how to check on it.

A couple of other possibilities:

At the time of filing, did you happen to choose the offer to get your refund into a Credit Karma Money Spend Account/Credit Karma Visa Debit Card?
Or could your refund have gone into a brokerage account (if applicable?)

I was told my refund of $3321 was E-Filed into my bank back in March 22nd but to date my bank has not received it. I need to check with you as to the Routing number my refund was sent to and we can get this matter settled. I have my routing number that ends in 0614 if that will help.
