Question

Is something wrong with my return? I checked on my refund on the IRS website and they couldn't find my information. I received a confirmation that it was accepted.

I gave them my SSN, filing status, and refund amount that matched my return.

I have the same problem.  I use "where's my refund" and put in the info they request and they have no record of it.  I received an email from Turbotax saying it was accepted by the federal government.

On a brighter note, I did receive my state tax refund.  So it worked there.  But my federal tax refund seems to be lost in the great void.

Any direction on this would be appreciated.

I received an email saying it was accepted as well.  I was suppose to have my refund by 3/11/21, but I've not received it.  I don't have state taxes, so I was concerned. 😞

TurboTax does not issue refunds or Stimulus payments.  You will have to track those payments thru the IRS.  See IRS information below on refunds:

Refund Timing

The IRS issues more than 9 out of 10 refunds in the normal time frame: less than 21 days. However, it’s possible that some tax returns may require further review and could take longer.

IRS representatives can research the status of your return only if:

  • It's been more than 21 days since you received your e-file acceptance notification,
  • It's been more than 6 weeks since you mailed your paper return, or
  • The Where's My Refund? tool directs you to contact us.

Some common issues which may extend processing times:

  • Refunds from amended returns are generally issued within 16 weeks.
  • If you filed an injured spouse claim, refer to Topic No. 203 for more information.
  • For refund claims with an application for an individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN) attached, refer to Topic No. 857 for more information.
  • If you requested a refund of tax withheld on a Form 1042-S by filing a Form 1040-NR, allow up to 6 months from the original due date of the 1040-NR return or the date you filed the 1040-NR, whichever is later, to receive any refund due.
  • The IRS expects the earliest Earned Income Tax Credit and Additional Child Tax Credit related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or on debit cards the first week of March if they chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return. Taxpayers should check Where's My Refund? for their personalized refund date.

You can also refer to Topic No. 303 for a checklist of common errors made when preparing your tax return and for additional items that may delay the processing of your return.  See the link below for actual IRS article relating to refunds.

Most likely your return is in pending status.  Once it is being processed, you will be able to track.  Returns remain in pending status for several reasons.  However, this year it is simply backlog.

Your e-filed return is still in pending on the server because the IRS is currently accepting/rejecting/processing returns.  Sometimes it can take more than 48 hours to process. Only a few returns were accepted early in a test batch.  Everyone else has been waiting. Please see the TurboTax FAQ below for more information on pending returns:

Once your tax return has been submitted, the most up to date information will come from the IRS.

It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund?  tool for updates.

Ok.  Thank you.  The way it reads to me it seems they don't even know my tax filing exists; so if all that means that I copied above is that it is being worked, that sounds great.

I submitted on Feb 5 and received the turbo tax email on Feb 6 saying it was accepted.  I know they weren't processing anything until Feb 12 from what I've read and anyone with an ACTC would have to wait at least until March 1st (which was the first week in March).  Even then, based on even the Feb 12 date I'm past my 21 day window.  If the clock is based on March 1, then I guess I need to wait one more week.

The frustration is, there is no information really on find my refund (all I get is what I copied above) and there is no way to figure out what is going on with the IRS by phone.

I check irs.gov   Where is my refund?  and got they can not find my return.  What is the status of that my filing my order number is TTWCC269699644

@jackssa10

The IRS issues most refunds from e-filed returns in about 21 days, although some returns take more time to review. The IRS issues refunds, not TurboTax. This means that we can't say for sure why you haven’t received your refund if it's been longer than 21 days since you e-filed. You'll have to speak directly to IRS to find out more about the delay, but you can always check your e-file status to make sure it's been accepted. I pu my info and it doesn't recognize me. Said my refund is accepted but I have received anything.  Just wanted to know if it's gonna go into my account or bank.

If you used the Where's My Refund? link to check the status of your refund, you need your SSN, Filing Status, and Refund Amount (Form 1040, Line 35a).  The site will tell you when your funds are being sent to the bank.

Whatever option you chose when you Efiled, is where your refund will go.

Save a copy of your return as a PDF file, and read the Filing Instructions page if you don't remember what your choice was.  We can't see your return in this forum.
