is the information I've entered for this year automatically saved if I don't file today?

    Yes.  When using Online TurboTax the information is saved after every screen.   You can leave and come back another time.   To exit, go to the left menu column and scroll all the way down and click on Sign Out.    Even if you were just to close the window, the information up to your last screen is saved.

    Yes, if you are working in TurboTax Online, your information is saved as you go.  Just be sure to sign-in to the same account when you return, and your information will be there.
