Question

Is the unemployment exclusion of $10,200 automatic or do I need to go in and change something?

The software is all set for the unemployment tax change.   All you do is enter your 1099G and let the software do the rest.

 

Enter your 1099G in Federal>Wages & Income>Unemployment

Go through the screens very carefully, making sure  to enter any federal/state tax you had withheld from the unemployment.
