Is there a way for me to input my direct deposit information for me to get my stimulus check via direct deposit instead of waiting for it in the mail?

No, you won't be able to change your direct deposit information. You were able to change your account for the first and second stimulus checks because that was before the IRS started accepting tax returns.

  • You don’t need to do anything to get your stimulus check. The IRS will determine eligibility based on your last tax return (either 2019 or 2020) and will likely send your payment to the bank account where your tax refund was deposited.

For information on when you can expect your stimulus payment, check the IRS Get My Payment tool which will be updated starting the week of March 15th.

To be eligible for the third stimulus, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • Families earning less than $150,000 a year and individuals earning less than $75,000 a year should get the full $1,400 per person.
  • Families earning up to $160,000 per year and individuals earning up to $80,000 per year will receive prorated amounts.
  • One notable difference from the first two stimulus is that you will receive stimulus payments for all your dependents, including adult dependents and college students.

To find out if you are eligible and how much you can expect, visit our stimulus calculator.
