Is there a way you can determine how much you will get back in your tax refund

Yes, there is.  You enter all of your income and credit and deductions, all of your personal information, and the software will calculate your tax refund if you are getting one.

If you are getting a federal refund it will be on line 20a of your Form 1040 after ALL of your data has been entered.
