How do you download all reported forms (W-2s, 1099s. etc. directly from the IRS?

No, that is not an option.   W-2's come from your employer(s).  There are over a dozen kinds of 1099's and they come from various sources including people and businesses for whom you have worked, banks, brokerages, Social Security,  1099G's for unemployment,  etc., etc. etc.  Mortgage lenders send 1098's, colleges send 1098T's, student loan lenders send 1098E's, and so on.   it is up to you to wait for all of the documents you need to arrive or to seek them out on the various websites where you might be able to print them from or import them into the software.

Much later......much later.... you can get a wage and income transcript from the IRS to see what income was reported to the  IRS for you from all of those sources.   The income you enter on your tax return has to match that.
