Is there any way to change the bank account information to a new one since the other bank account belongs to my friend?

My return has been accepted but I have not received it yet.

if you used your friend's account, filed and it was accepted, the refund will likely be rejected by his bank. then the refund goes back to the issuer to send a paper check to the taxpayer using the address on the return.

There is no way to change the bank account information after your tax return has been accepted. You might be able to stop the direct deposit by calling the IRS at 800-829-1040. The IRS will then mail a check to you.
