Is Turbo Tax taking my money?

For the second years in a row we have been hijacked of our returns, we overlooked last years because we figured it was 2020 craziness related. Not this year, I'm infuriated.

Turbo Tax said our refund was going to be $6,962 and after the IRS accepted it and took out their changes it was suppose to be $3,848, according to the IRS themselves.

We got a deposit from "TPG Products", which apparently is this 3rd party company taking the "Turbo Tax fees" out of our return. However, they only deposited $1,622.59. Where is the remaining $2,225.41?

And yes, the stimulus checks were taken out on the IRS side already. So where is my money?

As @DoninGA stated above TurboTax does not receive refunds. TurboTax is not informed about the status of your returns once the returns have been accepted by the IRS. You really should find out about 2020, as well. TurboTax does not process refunds!!

However, you should verify whether the IRS made adjustments to your expected refund amount. Santa Barbara bank only issues what the IRS has directed them to issue. So you should check Where Is My Refund first to determine the exact amount of expected refund. Next you subtract how much you paid TurboTax and the difference should have been issued to you.

As stated in my original post, the IRS verified our refund to be $3848. That is why I was wondering who has my extra $2,225.41 that is missing. Donin provided the correct contacts for me, hopefully. TPG Products is who I needed.
