It’s been 5 days since I’ve done my taxes, why haven’t I received an email stating that it’s been accepted?

You can double check your efile status here
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup


When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. what does it say?

It says that it’s accepted. I usually get an “approved” email the next day.

You don't get an approved email.  Approved comes later after Accepted.  When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.

 

 If your efile is Accepted then Turbo Tax is done with their part. Then the IRS processes it, then they approve it.
