Question

Its been more than 3 weeks since i filed my amended return by mail and the irs website is saying they havent recieved it

Hopefully, you mailed in the amended return.  Amended returns cannot be e-filed.  It can take longer this time of year since the IRS is busy with the deadline of regular returns.  I would keep checking the IRS website Where's My Amended return

    Amended returns usually take 16 weeks or more to process ... you have lots of time to wait.
