Question

Just recieved my father's 1099 form. I already filed because he didnt think he'd receive one. What do I need to do?

You will need to wait until the IRS either approves or rejects your return.  

 

If the return is rejected, you can simply revisit your return and add the 1099 information and re-file.  How do I fix a rejected return? - Community

 

Once a return is approved, you will need to file an amended return in order to add the 1099 form.  Instructions on amending a tax return, can be found here.
