Question

Last year when I filed my state taxes I had to pay more state taxes. (Note: I itemized my fed taxes last year & this year.) Where do I enter that state tax number in TT?

I itemized my fed taxes last year and this year. I owed a small amount when I filed my state taxes which I paid at the time of filing.

    Go to Federal > Deductions and Credits > Estimates and Other Taxes Paid > Other Income Taxes > Other Income Taxes Paid in 2024 > Balance due on your 2023 state taxes paid in 2024 to enter the amount.
