If you are trying to determine if you claimed the standard deduction or itemized for 2019, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into TurboTax and click on any topic to continue
  2. Click on Federal from the menu on the left-hand side
  3. Click on Deductions & Credits at the top
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Wrap up tax breaks"
  5. On the next screen, it will indicate whether you took the standard deduction or claimed itemized deductions

If you are trying to determine if you claimed the standard deduction or itemized for a previous year (like 2018), please see the steps below:

  1. Log into TurboTax and click on Tax Home from the menu on the left-hand side
  2. Scroll down and click on "Show" to the right of Your Tax Returns & Documents at the bottom
  3. Choose the tax year you want and then select Download PDF
  4. Locate your Form 1040 and compare the amount on Line 8 (for 2018) to the "Standard Deduction" Box on the far right of the page. If the amount listed on line 8 agrees to the Standard Deduction amount for your filing status then you claimed the standard deduction.
