IRS says it is income and a self employment form needs to be filled out to determine if tax is owed. It is already included on tax form turbo tax filed.

This letter is a request for additional information to process your tax return.

If the income item in question is on your 1099-Q, and it was included in your income, you can send them a copy of the 1099-Q and your 1040 with a statement explaining that the income is not self-employment and it is on your return already.

Can you clarify if you enter the income as self-employment in TurboTax?
