Lost all 2015 records in flood. Need copies of return, 1099s etc. ASAP via net?

Can I reconstruct records for 2015?

    If you used TT online then just log in and download the .tax20nn and PDF files for the tax years you need. If you used the desktop version, then the only place you can get it is from the IRS and SSA.

    You can get transcripts of all filed *and processed* tax returns for up to three years back for free at https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript  Copies of the actual tax returns are $50 each.

    For W-2's and 1099's you can get those from the Social Security Administration. Read the FAQ at https://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc159

    A Wage and Income Transcript from the IRS will list all W-2s and 1099s of any type that were issued to you. You can get a Wage and Income Transcript at the same link that Carl provided above for getting a Tax Return Transcript.

    You can get copies of W-2s from the Social Security Administration, but they do not have 1099s. There is a fee of $86 for copies of W-2s.
