Mailed my return at the beginning of January and still cannot track it should i mail it again?

Mailed returns take much longer than e-filed returns to be processed. Even if you mailed it in early January the IRS did not begin to process 2021 returns until January 24, so you will have to be more patient. When they open your envelope and put the information into the system you will be able to track it on the IRS refund site.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
