Midway upgrade to Premier from Deluxe

Please follow the steps below:

You can upgrade or switch to a different version of TurboTax after you've started your 2023 return.

To upgrade your version of TurboTax:

1. Make sure you’re signed into TurboTax and have opened your return.
2. If you haven't already, complete the intro questions until the menu appears.
3. Select Upgrade from the menu.
4. Select the Do it yourself or Real experts help or do it for you tabs to see your options.
5. Select the version you'd like to upgrade to.
6. We'll prompt you to pay only when you want to print or e-file your taxes (unless you choose Full Service). You can also prepay at any time:
   • Select File from the menu (don’t worry, you don’t have to file yet—this just gets you to the payment section).
   • Select Start or Revisit next to Review your order.
   • You’ll see a summary of your order. Select your payment method.
   • Enter your details as applicable and select Confirm Payment.

Once you’ve paid you can go to Tax Home to access your upgraded features.

If you only need your adjusted gross income (AGI), we can help with that. The IRS also provides transcripts and copies of past tax returns.
