Missing Federal but got State return

Hello all!

I filed my 2018 taxes this year (2020) by mail.  They sent it back because I forgot to include my w2 (my fault I usually efile with TT but had to file a amended return for my deceased parents first) and I missed one place to sign.  I signed where I needed and included a copy of the W2.  I sent it back to the IRS on Feb 24th and the USPS tracking showed it was received on the 26th.

On March 5th my state refund was deposited in my bank but I have yet to receive my federal!  When I go to check on "Where's My Refund" on the IRS site is says that I "May not have entered my info correctly."  (Even though I did) and when I fill out the section of when I filed it then says I "should check my filing date" or with my tax preparer.

It's been well over 6 weeks and there automated system is worthless.  I got my state, I got the stimulus, what happened to my federal?   I need my money and am getting tired of all this.

You can't track the status of a 2018 tax refund on the current IRS tracking web site. Tracking of 2018 returns went off line in late 2019. The only way to get a status on a 2018 tax return now is to speak to someone at the IRS. Unfortunately now one at the IRS is taking phone calls at the present time. The IRS is currently not processing mailed returns and hasn't said when they will start up again. 2018 returns will likely be prioritized behind 2019 returns.

Well that explains why I can't get the info on the status.

But I got my state return which must mean that the return was processed.  I know that I usually get my federal long after my state (usually no more than a month) refund.  Any idea why the delay in payment?
