My 2019 pdf gives Asset Life History of rentals. 2020-23 files only gives deprec on 4562 for that year. IS there a way to get the Asset History again to 2023?

I can create my own spreadsheet, but was hoping TT had the comprehensive list somewhere as before. I've clicked on many links but have had no luck.

If you are using the Desktop software, which is actually run on your computer, your answer was given yesterday.......you open each of those year's actual tax files, and use Forms Mode in each year's tax file (don't use an old filing-only PDF copy, as you need to see all the worksheets):

If, instead, you are using the "Online" browser-based software, then you need to download a NEW PDF file of each year's file. Don't use the original filing-PDF, a new download of the archived, prior-year PDF, should now contain all the worksheets. And you search thru all those worksheets to find it (maybe).

Yes, I did try what the other person had said yesterday. But had no luck. (I use the online software)

I just did a fresh download of 2022 and 2023, but no worksheets. Tried to do the .tax file but keep getting error messages when trying to open.

Thank you for suggestion.

Yeah, I've been wondering about that for the "Online" software. Historically, the archived PDFs used to contain all the worksheets, but the TTX executives in charge, may have decided to save some gazillabytes of space on their servers. The only way to open the .taxyyyy datafiles is to use the Desktop software (Most of us "helpers" here only use the Far-Superior Desktop for our own taxes, and only have test file accounts in the "Online: software to figure out what the heck they are structuring the Online software.)

Try to remember, each year before October, to download that year's PDF file form the Print Center...but selecting the choice to include all the worksheets with that PDF......giving a different name form your PDF which is only the Filing Copy.

As to what to do now?

I imagine you could start up your 2024 Online Tax preparation...get thru it a ways, and then go to the Print Center, and pay for the 2024 software now, to download a full-size 2024 PDF file to see if what you want is in there. I just don't know if it will contain the proper 2024 information yet, or if you have to go thru your rental entries for 2024 first (assuming that section is ready for use.)

To open those .taxyyyy datafiles from your Online account for 2021, 2022, 2023, you'd have to buy and install the desktop software for each year, and only 2021 thru now is available for use on full Windows 10/11 or MAC computers..

...(don't be tempted to find and buy 2020 desktop software anywhere, you won't be able to install/update it to a usable copy....if you are on a MAC, some of the years that are available may not start up on whatever version of MAC you do have. Windows 10/11 computers are more readily-backward compatible)
