Question

My 2023 taxes return was sent out in March 6 direct deposit to my bank but did not get it

My 2024 tax refund was sent back to turbo taxes and they sent me a paper check,so my 2023 return should have been sent back to turbo tax.

Please see what if my IRS refund is taking longer than 21 days for options to contact the IRS for your 2023 refund.

Yeah...but exactly when & how did you file your 2023 taxes?

 

Did you file 2023 last year...during 2024?   or during this year in 2025

....and did you file 2023 taxes in the mail, on paper, at the Post office?....or did you e-file it during the 2024 season?

Each tax return is processed separately.  It is not automatic that whatever happened to 2024 will also happen to 2023.

 

If you filed your 2023 tax return back in 2024, and never received the refund, you should contact the IRS to initiate a trace.

 

If you filed your 2023 tax return recently in 2025, and you asked for direct deposit, and it didn't clear, then the IRS should mail a paper check in 4 weeks.  If it is past that date, you again need to contact the IRS and request a trace.
