Question

My bank account was closed after my state taxes were filed and accepted, is there anyway to change it to a different account at this point?

My old bank account closed and now I have a new one but the old one was the one on file when I did my state taxes. What should I do to change it to the correct bank account to pay my state taxes at this point?

If you have already filed your return and it has been accepted by the IRS or State for processing, you won’t be able to change it. You need to contact the IRS or your State Department of Revenue to try to expedite this process. They will put a hold on ‌direct deposit and issue a paper check instead.
