I e-filed my federal 3 days ago and it’s still not been accepted by the irs

Did you e-file? Did you click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?” Does your account say “pending?” The IRS will not be accepting/rejecting 2020 returns until the end of January except for a small random test batch. “Pending” means your return is sitting on a server until the end of January. Do not try to change anything while it is pending. The changes will not go anywhere and will mess up you return if you really need to amend it later. Eventually you will receive emails telling you if your returns are accepted or rejected.
