My federal refund was short 118 dollars. What do I do?

    That sounds like the Turbo Tax fees.  Did you choose to have the fees deducted from your refund?  There is an EXTRA $40 (45 in Calif)  Refund Processing Service charge to have the fees deducted.   You probably used Deluxe.  It is 39 for federal and 39 for state plus the 40 = 118
