My Federal return was decreased by $500 They said it was because I didn't qualify for the Recovery Rebate Credit I received all my stimulus

I received all of my stimulus payments and while doing my taxes I don't remember filling anything out for this credit. I claim one child but don't know if that has anything to do with it. Should I receive the credit or not?

Ok the first stimulus checks were 1200 for the taxpayer and the spouse PLUS 500 for each child on the return under the age of 17. So when the program asked how much you got in advance did you add the 500 for the dependent? If you did not include that amount then the program gave you a credit on the form 1040 line 30 then when the IRS processed your return they caught the error and adjusted your return.
