My federal taxes where accepted but no refund and irs has no record of it.

How long ago were your federal taxes accepted. The IRS may not have updated the Where’s My Refund app with your information.

 

The IRS can only research the status of your refund 21 days after you filed electronically; 6 weeks after you mailed your paper return.

 

Overall, the IRS anticipates nine out of 10 taxpayers will receive their refund within 21 days of when they file electronically with direct deposit if there are no issues with their tax return.
