My Governor just signed a House Bill which for Delawareans would waive the state income tax that we received from unemployment, would irs know to take that into account?

My taxes on turbo tax are pending to go over to irs as well, and he just signed the bill now. I just am wondering if their is anything i can do since he signed this bill

The IRS has nothing to do with state tax. If it is retroactive to 2020 then the state will need to issue new tax regulations and tax software companies will have to implement it. Allow 2-3 months for that to happen.
