Question

My income indicates that I should be in the 22% bracket, This return,however, has put me in a 48.2% bracket. What could I have possible done wrong?

Without more information, it's impossible to say for sure what happened.  One thing that comes to mind is it could be you have self-employment income.  If so, that is 15.2% of self-employment income.  If you had a penalty of the early withdrawal of retirement funds, that incurs a 10% penalty.  As I said, without a lot more information there's now way to really know.
