Question

My mom owns a savings account for me that I can draw from. She owns the account but the money is for me, so should I say that I made money from interest on my tax return?

She owns the account. It's to pay for education-related expenses. Whenever I want to draw money out of the account, she withdraws it over the phone and then transfers it to me via our banking app. Should I file as having made money from interest on my tax return? I don't own the account so I'm not sure if it counts as me making money from interest. Thanks!

your mom's social security number should be on the account. since she owns the account. so she should be the one to report the interest. check with mom to make sure.
