Question

My mother claimed my son as a dependent on her tax return. I filed my return today and realized that I didnt mean to claim him also.

If your mother's return is accepted first, yours will be rejected.  But the IRS does not pull returns on a first come first serve basis. If yours is accepted first, Mom's return will be rejected.  Post back for help when you see what happens.
