Do you mean your 2018 tax return was rejected?  When a tax return is rejected you get an email telling you that it is rejected and that email has a rejection code or rejection message telling you why it was rejected.  Check your spam folder to see if it went there.  The most common reason for a rejection is incorrect AGI.  Since you can no longer e-file, the AGI does not matter.

 

In order to file your tax return you will have to print it, sign it and mail it.  E-filing for 2018 is permanently closed.

 

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS and/or your state received the return.

 

When you mail your tax return, wait about 4 weeks and then check the IRS site: 

https://www.irs.gov/refunds
