My refund is less and comes from "TPG PRODUCTS SBTPG LLC". Is TPG PRODUCTS SBTPG LLC with TurboTax?Can I apply for a refund for that charge?

"TPG PRODUCTS SBTPG LLC". Is TPG PRODUCTS SBTPG LLC affiliated with TurboTax? And was I charged an additional fee? I do not believe I was informed about this additional charge. Can I apply for a refund for that charge?

TurboTax is not affiliated with Santa Barbara Tax Products Group other than using their services to have the TurboTax fees deducted from the federal tax refund. They are the third party processor who receives the federal tax refund, deducts the TurboTax account fee and their service charge then direct deposits the remaining federal tax refund into the bank account requested by the taxpayer.

There is a $39 service charge assessed by Santa Barbara Tax Products Group to handle the federal tax refund received from the IRS, remove the TurboTax fees and depositing the tax refund.

If you used the TurboTax Deluxe online edition ($39) and added a state tax return ($39) and requested to have the TurboTax fees paid from the federal refund ($39 service charge) your total charge would be $117 (plus sales tax if applicable to your state)

I purchased Turbo Tax from Costco. I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years and have never encountered a charge from any third party I should have been informed about SBTPG LLC charging $60.00 to do something. If this is not satisfactorily expalined and reversed not only will I never use Turbo Tax again but I will tell all my family and friends to avoid you.
