Question

My Return

I filed my taxes several months back and was held up because I had to prove my identity. I was waiting on my hard copy of my drivers license, which took longer than normal. Now that I have proved my identity, my refund doesn't show that it has been processed. When I go on Turbo Tax , it shows that the IRS accepted my filing. I need to know how long now will it be before I get my refund, or do I need to resend it?                                                                                                                                                       Tammy Northcott

TurboTax is not going to get any updates.   The IRS does not provide any information to TurboTax after you file your tax return.  TT does not know that you had to verify your identity.   The IRS is backlogged.    After the identity verification process it can still take a couple of months or more before you get your refund.   The only source of information is the IRS.   Do not file again---that would do nothing but create confusion and further delay.
