My taxes for federal were filed January 3rd its says I will know in 48 hours its been over that why haven't I heard anything

    The 48 hours is correct once the IRS opens their e-file system on January 23rd.  TurboTax lets you e-file early but they hold your return on their servers until the IRS starts accepting returns.  Once the IRS starts accepting returns on January 23rd, you will receive an email stating whether your return was accepted or rejected.

    While your return is on TurboTax servers, you cannot change anything on your return and you cannot get your return back. If you need to make any changes to your return, you will need to wait until you receive your status (accepted or
