How do you know it's only some?  How much is missing?  Federal and state come from separate places at different times.   Were you having the fees deducted from your refund?

Did you check 1040 line 35a?

I should be getting a little over 10 k. And it's only showing a pending balance of $1600 in my bank account. And Florida only does federal. Not state

TurboTax doesn't track anything after the return is sent in.  If there is a number on your return that is the equivalent of the difference (Around $8400 according to what you wrote) then maybe that is the change.

Either way, here is what's going to happen.  You will receive a refund for the amount pending.  Then, within a week or two, you will receive a letter from the IRS explaining why they have adjusted your refund.  When you receive the letter you can agree with the changes (OH!  I made that mistake!  They sent the child tax credit to my ex!) OR you can disagree with the changes (OH!  They made that mistake!  They sent the child tax credit to my ex!).  If you disagree they will have instructions for you to follow on the letter they send.  You may have to submit more documents or amend your tax return.

The federal tax refund and the state tax refund are issued by separate tax authorities and sent separately.
