My taxes was acepted by turbo tax but by the irs I’m still pending

The status Accepted means that your return was transmitted by TurboTax and accepted by the IRS for processing.  If your return shows pending at the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool, this just means that the IRS is still working on the processing of your tax return.  

The process is taking longer than usual, sometimes much longer than usual, for many taxpayers this year due to a number of reasons related to this year's tax law changes as well as a significant backlog of returns coupled with a shortage of staff at the IRS.  

If the IRS requires additional information from you in order to continue processing your return, they will send a letter to the address on the return.  If you receive a letter, be sure to respond promptly to avoid any further delays.  If you do not receive a letter, there is unfortunately nothing for you to do aside from continue to wait for your return to be processed and your refund to be sent to you.
