My wife's last name was misspelled on my tax return 2019

The IRS made changes to my tax return 2019 amount. Instead of refund I owe the money. And I get the notice about that.

Due the error in my wife's last name in tax return the IRS declined child tax credits. And they asked to send to the IRS the copy of my wife’s Social Security and they will make the adjustments. That the process will take in about 60 days.

I called them 4 times and they are still not made the promised adjustments. So, the half a year is passed instead of 60 days.

What can I do to get the refund?

You will have to speak with the IRS for assistance in this matter.

How do I contact the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)?
