Need to add IRS PIN to amended 2022 Tax Return.

First amended Federal 2022 return was rejected. I only have the option to open the .tax file. I added the IRS PIN to the file and clicked through everything and saved. Does that mean the new amendment + IRS PIN got submitted to IRS?

You can try to efile a 2022 1040-X if you filed with TurboTax.

You must get an ACCEPTED message from IRS.

Otherwise, have to print and mail a 2022 amendment.

Based on the REJECTED message, that shows the IRS is listening.

SUBMIT again with the IP PIN and you should be ACCEPTED.

@fanfare - do you have any advice on how to SUBMIT again? This is all I see. I download the .tax file and it takes me to the software which I fill out but there doesn't seem to be a SUBMIT button or anything.
