Question

Need to link 2017 Tax return with my new 2018 tax return. Can you help walk me thru this?

Did you use TurboTax for the 2017 tax return?  If so, did you use the TurboTax online editions or the TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions?

 

If you used the TurboTax online editions for 2017 then you Must sign onto the 2018 TurboTax online account with the exact same User ID you used for the 2017 account so that the 2017 tax data can transfer to the 2018 tax return.

By link do you mean to Transfer 2017 into 2018?  Or just have both years in the same account?

 

How to transfer into Turbo Tax Online.  This covers all the ways but if you already started 2018 you will have to clear it and start over to transfer.
