NYS tax refund

I filed my tax returns in mid Jan and got my federal return a few weeks after, but I still have yet to receive my NYS tax returns. It has been close to two months now what is going on? I have used the NYS tax return status checker and I have called the automated number, but it does not give me any information just says that it’s under review and is gonna take longer than usual.

TurboTax does not receive updates from the state of New York once they have accepted your return The exact amount of time it takes to get your New York refund varies and if you requested a check that adds about a week to the processing time. The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance website does not appear to state the estimated refund processing time but recommends e-filing and is not publicizing why some returns are taking longer than others.
