On Form 2210, the date paid field will not let me put in a past date but the current date. How do I put the actual past date payment?

Form 2210 actual date of payment is different from filing date

To record any additional payments you made before filing, go to the Estimates and Other Taxes Paid section in the Federal return.

    1. Select Estimated Taxes
    2. Selected Federal Estimated Taxes for 2024 (Form 1040 ES) even though you didn't use the form.
    3. Answer "Yes" to "Did you pay Federal estimated taxes?"
    4. The next screen provides entry fields for quarterly estimated payments, and below that, a button labeled "+Add another payment". Click this button.
    5. Additional entry fields will appear where you can enter the payment amount and date.

Any payments you entered in the Federal section should then be accounted for when you complete Form 2210.
