Question

Opening a .tax2017 file

I need to look at the entries I made in my online 2017 TurboTax return ("interview" format).  I have a PDF copy of the actual return, but I need to look at what I entered in the program to answer my questions.  I have downloaded the .tax2017 file but can't open it.  Someone on the forum suggested downloading TurboTax amendment software for 2017 (they were also looking to open a .tax2017 file) but the link opens amendment software for 2018 and I don't see where to find the software for 2017.  Getting to my TurboTax return is surprisingly difficult and I'm not sure why it needs to be so hard.

Any assistance from anyone at TurboTax (or anyone else who knows how this is done) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Thank you!  Two follow-up questions:

- Can you tell me how I can navigate to that 2017 download page on the TurboTax web site?

- I filed using TurboTax Self-Employed and do not see that as an option for either Windows download.  The options are TurboTax Home & Business, Free, Basic, Deluxe, or Premier.  Do you happen to know which would most appropriate to download?

Thanks again!

The ONLINE is called SELF EMPLOYED ... the exact same program in the DOWNLOAD is the Home & Business version.
