Original and Correct amounts on 1040x are reversed

I somehow managed to populate the "Original amount" column with the data that should have been in the "Correct amount" columns so the data now in the 1040X "Correct amount" column is what was actually filed in the 1040. So far, I have been unable to straighten out the mess. Is there a way to fix the error?

You need to remove the amended tax return.

If you made ANY changes to the original tax return that was filed before you started to amend the tax return, then remove All the changes so the tax return is Exactly as was filed.
