Question

Owe taxes but had to amend return now I owe less. I entered bank account info on original return. Do I now need to send in check payment with the form that printed?

No, if you arranged a direct debit of the amount owed on the original return, that will still happen on the scheduled date (April 18 or earlier if you selected an earlier date).

 

Once the IRS has fully processed the amended return, they will refund you the difference.
