I submitted my PA tax using turbo tax.  My employer is in NY,  but I work out of PA.  After filing,  I got a letter from PA and I'm not sure why?  If I just send a W2 will that be sufficient?

Text in the letter from PA:

Additional documentation requested
. Please provide all W-2s showing wages taxed by Pennsylvania and any states in which you were employed and the
amount of tax withheld for each state. If you do not have copies of the W-2s, request duplicates from your employer
or a signed statement from each employer on company letterhead verifying the wages and withholding tax.

· Please submit a signed statement from your employer(s) or other evidence verifying that all or a portion of your
income is nontaxable and stating the reason the income is nontaxable.

· Please submit a letter from your employer providing a detailed explanation for the difference between the federal
wages and the state wages shown on your W-2 form(s). You will need to complete a PA W-2 Reconciliation
Worksheet, which can be accessed on the departments' website, www.revenue.pa.gov.

.

Please submit a letter from your employer providing a detailed explanation for the difference between the Medicare
wages and the state wages shown on your W-2 Form(s). You also need to complete the PA W-2 Reconciliation
Worksheet.

Sounds like you just need to provide your W2's. It's just a verification usually.
