I filed my taxes and turbo tax stated I owe 90.00, I paid the 90.00 dollars but I just got a check in the mail for 90.00 dollars. Does this mean my payment was not accepted?

Who was the check from?  Who did you owe $90 to?  Did you double check your actual tax return to see what you owed?

Maybe you saw $90 owed at the end?  It could have been the federal and state combined.  Like a refund on one and a tax due on the other.

At the end Turbo Tax shows you a summary of the net combined federal and state. But that is only for your info. You will still get the full amount and need to pay any tax due separately yourself.

Oh, was your returns accepted?  You can double check your efile status here

I owed the IRS 90.00. Turbo tax says “amount due: 90.00” so I set up my account information and about a week later the payment was taken out of my account. Now I’m receiving a check from United States treasury for the same amount I owed.

Could be a coincidence.  Maybe the check is your Stimulus Check?
