I paid for extra things like audit defense in my filing. I completed my taxes on February 28th, and I have not yet received my refund. I have called the IRS multiple times and have even had to find out a specific pattern to bypass the automated systems and talk to a person. The last time I called, I was informed that I have not yet received my refund due to an error. I literally entered everything as TurboTax told me. I have yet to receive anything via the mail that says what the error is or how to fix it. I would love to get this extra income as I am struggling financially right now, and I wonder if there is ANYTHING TurboTax can do to help me out in getting it more quickly? If not, what the heck did I pay extra money for!?

All you can do now is, wait. At least you know that the IRS has your filing. It does not matter who sent your 1040 to the IRS. The IRS is the sole destination for tax returns. No one has discovered a way to make the IRS speed up sending out refunds. No one ever will because the IRS is an overwhelmed, over worked, under funded and under staffed government bureaucracy. Eventually you will get the pay off of your no interest loan to the government.
